A crowd of over 500 people packed out the street arena for an afternoon of hammers from some of New Zealand’s up and coming shredders. With 42 competitors in total across all divisions, its a good sign that skateboarding in the grid city is on the rise.
Over $3000 worth of prizes was up for grabs thanks to all the supporting sponsors – Cheapskates, Skullcandy, Vans Shoes, Electric Sunglasses, Akcent Skateboards, Thunder Trucks, Traffick, Manual Magazine, Bones Wheels and Neff.
