William Lochhead » Stoked as after winning his 2nd board in one week!
It wasn’t the nicest day in Ashburton for a skate jam, but none-the-less a crowd of over 70 gathered to skate up a storm. The wind was cold and the sky was grey, but all up smiles were on dials.
Many took advantage of the free gear hire and had a go at skating with help from the Skate Skool instructors — a few scooter kids even put their scooters aside to get in on the action.
The best trick competition proved that Ashburtonians know how to skate — especially lil’ William Lochhead who took home his second 1st place price in a week, also winning the 10 & Under division in the Papanui Skate Jam earlier in the week. The crew enjoyed the road trip down and were stoked to skate a different park for a change.
Thanks to Jan from Sport Mid-Canterbury for helping promote the event and the Ashburton District Council, SPARC, Cheapskates and Skullcandy for making it possible.
